It's November!

Hey Guys!
Well since my last letter much has happened in our lives (obviously, since its’ been almost a month since I last wrote anything J ). So here are a few things that have happened since then…
1.       Over fall break Ryan, me, my sister and some friends of ours all made a trip up to DC. We had a ton of fun! Although, we did get lost a few times (which was mostly my lacking a sense of direction) and probably walked over 10 miles throughout the course of the day. Our legs and bodies were thoroughly exhausted by the end of it!
Ryan also got to taste some Ethiopian food…hmm…lets just say he was not impressed! Although I love and have frequent cravings for it; I think Ryan needs to have it a few more times before he can get to that point. He was very courageous though and made an excellent effort to swallow as much as he could bear. But afterwards we had to make a quick stop at McDonalds for some ‘normal’ food.
We also got to make a trip over to Georgetown Cupcakes. If you’ve never heard of them before, they have their own TV show called “D.C. Cupcakes” (I think they are on the TLC channel). Their cupcakes were to die for!! We got these amazing Chocolate Fudge cupcakes with peanut butter icing and fudge sauce (delicious!!). Of course we couldn’t make the trip all the way to DC and only buy one cupcake; so we got a few more: keylime, Maple, Red Velvet and chocolate. Yumm! We had to wait in line for about 30 minutes, but it was totally worth it.
2.       Ryan’s parents came up and visited the weekend after fall break and we all got to travel to Martinsville, VA for the Nascar race!! WOOOHOOO. We had so much fun and even got to visit with Ryan’s Aunt and Uncle for a little bit while we were there. Of course conversation is difficult when you have 40 cars going 180mph+ in such a small area (if you don’t know what that’s like, just try blasting your stereo at top volume for 4 hours straight…then you might have a better idea). Neither of our drivers won the race, but we still had tons of fun being with familyJ.

3.       The following weekend after the race we traveled down to South Carolina for Ryan’s sister’s wedding! She was beautiful, and the wedding was so sweet. Her and her husband are very cute together, and they looked so happy together.

While visiting South Carolina we stayed in a Motel 6. Although the accommodations were really not horrible, you did get that truck driver, drug dealer, and crime lord feel when you walked into the separated building where they kept all of their rooms. The lighting was dim and flickered, the doors let light out into the hallway since they didn’t go all the way to the floor. Ryan also claimed to find dried spit on the bathroom counter…but neither me nor his parents could see it. It was probably in his imagination. All in all we had a pleasant stay though, no bugs or criminals came to attack us in the night J.

Today is Ryan’s birthday, but unfortunately he works late tonight so we will have to postpone the celebration until tomorrow. That’s ok though, Fridays are always better evenings to celebrate anyways!
It’s also ‘project season’; the time of semester when professors decide to make all major assignments due. If you’re in college or have ever attended, then you know exactly what I’m talking about! Students walk around with a kind of dead expression on their faces from the all nighters combined with excessive amounts of caffeine. Fortunately I have never done an ‘all-nighter’, I think if I ever had to I would probably just want to die starting at around 2am. Staying up all night just sounds like misery to me, I much prefer getting stuff done a little earlier and still being able to sleep on my nice comfy bed J.

Well I think I have rambled long enough…we love all of you guys J. Comment if you wish
